Pre-Hiatus (or some crafts, cooking and coffee before my time in Brooklyn)

I’ve returned yet again from sneaking the heck out-of-town for the holiday mess. This time last year, I was sipping from young coconuts in Cambodia, while this time last week, J. Legume and I were singing carols to rats scurrying around subway tracks. How time flies. Of course, New York is quite the star of holiday messes and nostalgically visiting the Macy’s windows was one of the worst ideas I’ve ever had, but we survived. I sit here with my cup of Stumptown (which is actually available ALL OVER THE PLACE in NYC), which you surely know if you’ve caught Blogtown’s coverage of New York print media’s obsession with Portland through the years as I have, but I digress. My point is, I have some photos to share from *before* my hiatus, which means I can then reminisce about cooking with my sister in Bushwick some more, and so on.

Stopped by Crafty Wonderland and the Crafty Underdog fairs

After one long day at two holiday craft fairs, Crafty Wonderland and The Crafty Underdog.

And one more thing – the winner of the Vegan Sandwiches giveaway will be announced soon! Thank you guys so much for the submissions. I’m still working my way through making every single sandwich idea (maybe), and most importantly, waiting for the copy to come my way from the publisher (gosh dang media mail!) so I can send it to the winner.

Hiatus updates and homemade Sriracha developments when I return.
